Crosby Steen had a hat trick, but it wasn’t enough as the Breezy Point North Stars lost to the visiting Twin City Steel 7-4 in Tier III junior hockey action on Saturday, Feb. 9.
The North Stars, 3-36 overall after suffering their 16th straight defeat, are scheduled to play at Metro on Sunday, Feb. 17.
Steen opened the scoring in the first period. Twin City answered with a pair of goals but Steen tied it late in the session. The Steel grabbed a 3-2 lead early in the second period but Steen quickly tied it with a power play goal.
Twin City put the game on ice with three goals in the middle session for a 6-3 lead.
The Steel scored early in the third period before Jonathon Plaszcz netted a power-play goal for the North Stars.
Tyler Reichel finished with two assists for Breezy Point while losing goaltender Walker Enstad had 24 saves.
