Locals compete in Lumberjack Jaunt Ski Race

Several lakes area families participated in the Lumberjack Jaunt Ski Race on Sunday, Feb. 3, at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd. The annual event is sponsored by the Brainerd Nordic Ski Club.

Following are area results:

Women’s 6-kilometer classic: 1-Angie Hanske, Brainerd, 29:38; 2-Heidi Schroeder, Milaca, 40:37; 3-Karlie Trottier, Pequot Lakes, 41:46; 4-Lachlan Larson, Pequot Lakes, 43:56; 5-Abigail Reigel, Breezy Point, 48:44; 6-Mackenzie Reigel, Breezy Point, 43:34; 7-Kenzie Lampi, Pequot Lakes, 53:35; 8-Quinn Trottier, Pequot Lakes, 53:36; 9-Deanne Trottier, Pequot Lakes, 53:37; 10-Emma Storbakken, Brainerd, 1:00.56.

Men’s 6-kilometer classic: 1-Jared Sandin, Pillager, 33:10; 2-Cole Trottier, Pequot Lakes, 41:45; 3-John Bonde, Brainerd, 45.39.

Men’s 16-kilometer skate: 7-Andrew Ryan, Lake Shore, 48:45.
