Stone wins title

Brainerd Warrior skier Savannah Stone, a Pequot Lakes senior, was the girls’ individual winner in the Wild Mountain Invitational in Taylors Falls on Friday, Dec. 21.

Stone’s finish in a combined time of 1:00.84 helped lead the Warrior girls to a third-place finish in the 21-team event.

“This was by far the biggest win of her career,” Brainerd coach Jim Ruttger said about Stone’s victory in a Brainerd Dispatch story. “There were several elite teams at this meet.”

Two other Pequot Lakes students grabbed the second and third spots for the Warriors as Alex Stone was 24th in 1:09.90, and Jaden Lindner was 32nd in 1:11.37.
