The invite, which featured 17 AA teams from around the state, is one of the largest AA competitions of the year. The Revolution earned ninth place in the High Kick category with the routine “Push It,” and 12th place in the Jazz category with “Too Close.”

“At a glance, a ninth- and 12th-place finish doesn’t seem all that impressive,” said assistant coach Kristin Neale. “But when you consider that 11 of the teams who made it to state last year were here competing today, it puts those numbers into perspective. We were very happy with how the girls danced, and with our scores.”

The Revolution junior varsity, competing against six other JV teams in the High Kick category, took home a fourth-place finish.

“We are very proud of the girls,” JV coach Jennifer Dingman said. “They have been working very hard, and it showed today.”

Next up for the Revolution is the Eastview Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 8.
