Thanks offered to PLHS students

As mayors, we want to thank all of the high school students, faculty and administrators who spent an entire Wednesday working in our communities.

The second annual Pequot Lakes High School Day of Caring was as successful, helpful and appreciated as last year. The numerous individuals who requested assistance with their yards or homes grew from last year. Word has definitely spread about the wonders of teen-aged help.

Our communities benefitted from park raking, flower bed cleaning and general cleanup, just to name a few.

We are indeed privileged to have a school district that supports our community in such a manner. Thank you to everyone involved.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
