Marlys E. Wall, 86, of Pequot Lakes, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes. Family and friends were invited to gather one hour prior to services.

Marlys Wall was born Aug. 12, 1927, in Pequot Lakes, the daughter of Elmer and Stella (Olson) Erickson. She was valedictorian of her class at Pequot Lakes High School and a music major at St. Cloud State University. Marlys was secretary for Congress Marshall in Washington, D.C., where she met Charles Wall. They were married in 1951, and raised their family in Green Bay, Wis., before retiring to Pequot Lakes where Marlys was active for many years in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She loved children, music, gardening, knitting, sketching and painting. Marlys will be greatly missed and will be remembered for her gentle, nurturing heart, her creative inspiration, and her joyful laughter.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ken, and her daughter, Joan. She is survived by her husband, Charles; their 11 children; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her eight brothers and sisters.
