Dolores Jean “Dee” (Morgan) Herman

Grandville, Mich.

Dolores Jean “Dee” (Morgan) Herman, 80, of Grandville, Mich., was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 28, 2013, and was reunited with her husband, Robert; sons-in-law, Bill Gayle and Thomas Forsyth; siblings, Betty, Marlys, Janet, Garald and Mavis Morgan; and her parents, Clarence and Mabel Morgan.

Dee was humorous and fun loving with a determined spirit. She loved her family and was always supportive of all their activities. Dee was an American Legion Auxiliary Member of Post No. 258, active in the Red Cross and the PTA for many years. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. As a gifted artist, she painted many beautiful pictures and ceramics.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Janet Gayle and Larry Mullennix, Russell and Laurie Herman, Garald Herman and Darla Forsyth; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold and Roberta Morgan, Duane Herman, Joan and Allen Ward, and Diane Herman; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 2, at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (Grandville, Mich.) with Dr. David Lee Smith officiating. Interment was at Grandville Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan, 989 Spaulding Ave. S.E., Ada, MI 49301-3701.
