Dec. 21, 2012, Robert Oscar Jasman was led home to be with Jesus by his son, James Jasman (1998), grandson Vincent Mosberger (2002) and great-grandson Emmett Jones (2005).

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Marie (Crittenden) Jasman; daughters, Bobbie (George) Carroll, Darla (Jerry) Faehnrich, Debra (Gary) Mosberger and Denise Jasman; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Robert served in the Army from October 1940 to March 1946 earning American Theater Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal, World War II Victory Ribbon, and the Bronze Star Medal.

Bob and Bea were on their 34th address in their 70 years of marriage. Bob volunteered his time to many organizations including most of the churches they belonged to and Meals on Wheels, delivering blood for the Red Cross, being a Foster Grandparent at elementary schools, Habitat for Humanity and so many more. He was a most giving person and a great example to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and an inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure to know him.

Services were at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with the Rev. Dr. Ed Morgan officiating. Visitation began the hour before services. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Nelson-Doran Funeral Home and Crematory, Brainerd, was in charge of arrangements.
