Carleen Ann Johnson of Nisswa was among University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) undergraduate students honored in conjunction with UNL’s All-University Honors Convocation on April 13. Students were recognized for their cumulative academic achievements (compared with dean’s list, which is for one semester). Johnson, a senior in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, was recognized as a High Scholar, meaning she is in the top 10 percent of her class.
Senior Robert Nelson is one of nine students from Concordia College, Moorhead, who presented at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research on April 3-5 at the University of Kentucky.
Nelson, a religion major, is the son of Robert Nelson and Stephanie Thurlow, Crosslake.
Nelson’s topic area was religious studies and his presentation was titled “The Art of Dying Well: The ‘Ars Moriendi’ Tradition in the Writings of Martin Luther.”
The conference gives undergraduate scholars in all fields a forum to share results of their work through posters, presentations, performances and works of art.
