Third-graders learn figure skating
The Breezy Point Figure Skating Club and the Eagle View Elementary School physical education teachers sponsored two skating sessions for all third-grade students.
The students worked on basic skills such as marching in their skates, making bubble patterns, learning how to stop and learning how to push off to gain speed.
Some of the more experienced skaters were able to speed skate, weave through cones and participate in an obstacle course.
The Breezy Point Figure Skating Club provided skates for the kids and ice skating instruction, along with the Breezy Point North Stars.
