PR-B junior varsity speech team competes in Pequot Lakes

The Pine River-Backus junior varsity speech team competed at the Pequot Lakes Speech Wars! tournament Tuesday night, Feb. 25.

Claudina Williams took home a white ribbon for her informational speech on illusions.

Also competing from PR-B were Samantha Maurer and Mitchell Wynn, Emma Armstrong and Judith Reed, and Mikayla Sundlie and Lucy Schnoor in Dramatic Duo Interpretation.  

Jarod Birr and Austin Mackert competed in Humorous Interpretation.

Varsity speech team member Troy Fetter accompanied to judge.

Pequot Lakes results: Easton/Olivia duo team, red ribbon; Sydney Ellison, white ribbon; Aaron Sopelle, white in poetry; William Moe, white in humor; Courtney Rock, white in prose; Allie Miller, blue in creative; Emily Espeseth, red in humor; Abby Person, blue/  first place in creative; and Nova Killbourne, white in drama.
