PR-B Community Education offers variety of classes

Pine River-Backus Community Education offers the following classes:

• Messy Color Science, 3:15-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28. Fee: $10.

This class is for students in second grade and older with a maximum of 15 participants who will explore the science of color through fun (and messy) experiments that involve shaving cream, food coloring, glo-sticks and more. Discover what happens when colors get mixed.

Participants will meet in the Commons. Snack will be provided. Instructor is Marcy Cordova.

• Freezer Meal Workshops, 7 p.m. Jan. 28, Feb. 25 and March 25, in PR-B High School Room 49. Fee is $85 per workshop: Figure Friendly Bundle, Jan. 28; Comfort Foods Bundle, Feb. 25; Everyday Meal Bundle, March 25.

Learn how to create 10-20 healthy meals to bring home and pop in the freezer. Classes will use Wildtree Products supplied by the instructor. Participants will bring the meat/protein of their choice to create meals to bring home. Contact Community Education for a full description, ingredient and shopping list.

The products used are certified organic and contain no additives, preservatives, MSG, dyes, HFCs and GMOs. The entire line is low in sodium and sugar and is 100 percent nut free. Participants will have enough products left over to go home and make these recipes again.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
