Lego team competes at regional tournament
The Pequot Lakes Radioactives, a fifth-grade First Lego League team, recently competed in its first regional tournament in St. Paul. The team competed against nearly 50 teams from Minnesota, earning second place in its 15-team division in The Robot Game: Head-to-Head Competition and third place overall in its division.
First Lego League is an international organization that focuses on learning robotics, science, technology, engineering and math. This year’s science project focus was on natural disasters, so the team completed a project that focused on tornado warning systems in Crow Wing County.
