Home fire safety class Nov. 18

A Monday, Nov. 18, workshop at the Pequot Lakes Fire Department will go over basic home fire safety, including emergency exit plan, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguisher use, cooking/kitchen safety, making your house “fire safe” and dryer safety.

Learn what to look for and what to do in an emergency. Learn what precautions/steps you can take to make your home safe for you and your family.

Pequot Lakes Fire Chief Tom Nelson and First Assistant Chief Bill Rickard will hold this informational class from 6-7:30 p.m. at the fire department, 4638 County Road 11.

There is no fee to attend, but registration is required. A minimum of five registrations is needed. For more information or to register, contact Pequot Lakes Community Education at 218-568-9200.
