Scholarship recipients introduced at Nisswa Women's Club meeting

The Nisswa Women’s Club held its monthly membership meeting Thursday, Oct. 17, at Breezy Point Resort on Pelican Lake, and the Nisswa Women’s Club Central Lakes College (CLC) 2013 scholarship program recipients — Rhonda Maxwell, Kristi Lofquist and Jill Arnold — were introduced by Teresa Faust, chair of the women’s club 2013 CLC scholarship committee.

Maxwell is earning an Associate of Arts degree in early childhood education at CLC and will then transfer to the College of St. Scholastica for a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work.

Lofquist plans to obtain an Associated in Applied Arts degree as a health administration specialist at CLC.

Arnold’s plans are to complete the registered nurse program at CLC and then transfer to a four-year college to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The Nisswa Women’s Club CLC scholarship program assists non-traditional women students at CLC with scholarships.
