Students recognized at first PR-B ROAR Rally of the year

The teachers at Pine River-Backus Elementary School recognized students for good behavior Friday, Sept. 27.

ROAR stands for Responsible, On-task, Always safe and Respectful, and teachers at the elementary level nominate students every month for golden ticket awards for these behaviors.

Students at the rally also participated in the school cheer and a Wii dance to “The Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor.

September winners of the golden tickets were: Ruby  Hamilton, Marcus Lukanen, Rian Struss, Karson Crawford, Ben Sundlie, Mac Reddick, Miqaella Williams, Kalie Trout, Sierra Nelson, Michaela Holm, Madisyn Burgoyne, Liam  Peterson, Harold Velapatino, Brandon Lawrence, Damasio Rocha, Ian Gorden, Heidi Kline, Andrea Leyk, Clayton Borman, Mya  Pederson, Jacob Johnson, Kyosuke Marcum, Jonathan Windorski, Alieya  Gorden, Emily  Hanneken, Zeke  Zwart, Logan  Anderson, Brady Kilchesky, Bradley Rudquist, Dylan Wheeler, Averie  Kordiak, Bryon  Merritt, Sydney  Hoopman, Darren Wynn, Yuliana Krecklau, Brooklin Mills, Caden  Hamilton and Ella Diers.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
