Breezy Point Women's Club honors scholarship recipients

The Breezy Point Area Women’s Club honored its 2013 Central Lakes College scholarship recipients Aug. 7 with a cruise and luncheon on the Breezy Belle at Breezy Point Resort.

Jean Gullickson is working on an Associate in Arts degree. She has plans to further her education through the St. Scholastica program in organizational behavioral skills. Gullickson would like to become a drug and alcohol counselor.

Bobbi Gunderson is enrolled in the natural services Program working on an Associate in Applied Science degree. After graduating from CLC her plans include transferring to a four-year institution to study wildlife biology. She intends to specialize in conservation.

The Breezy Point Area Women’s Club supports two $600 scholarships a year to female, nontraditional students age 25 or older who meet the CLC guidelines for the number of college credits and have a 3.0 or higher GPA.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
