Safety Kids for ages 4-6 offered May 28-31

Safety Kids for children ages 4-6 will be offered from 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesday-Friday, May 28-31, at the Trailside Center at Pequot Lakes Baptist Church.

Teachers, police officers, community resource people and volunteer teen instructors will work daily to develop healthy, safe attitudes in children. Children will learn about various aspects of safety through classroom activities, songs and videos.

They will practice pedestrian skills and experience “real life” situations by driving tot-size vehicles through a miniature city layout complete with city blocks, buildings and stop signs.

A parent/caregiver presentation and family program will be held Friday, May 31. The parent/caregiver presentation will be about school/situational safety, presented by the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department.

Registration fee is $30. Registrations are due to the Pequot Lakes Community Education office by Tuesday, May 21.

To register or for more information, contact Pequot Lakes Community Education at 218-568-9200
