Patriots Perspective: Reading tutors help students achieve academic success

Minnesota schools, such as Eagle View Elementary School, are helping local students achieve academic success in the face of sobering statewide statistics.

According to recent studies, only half of Minnesota’s children are ready for kindergarten and one in five third-graders is not reading at grade level.

To proactively address this critical need, Eagle View Elementary School will become a Minnesota Reading Corps site for the 2013-14 school year.
