Cass organizations can apply for funds for locally grown foods

The Cass County Community Health Board, with funding from the State Health Improvement Program (SHIP) grant, offers an opportunity for community organizations in Cass County to apply for funds to increase access to, education of, and/or availability of healthy locally grown foods.

Funds are intended for groups in Cass County to facilitate policy, systems and environmental changes that increase access to, education of, and/or availability of healthy, locally grown foods.

Applicants can apply for up to $5,000. Funding is competitive; not all requests will be funded or may be only partially funded.

Requests will be chosen based upon submission of a feasible action plan, grantee’s readiness and capacity to implement the action plan, and acceptable budget request. Application deadline is April 19.
