University of Wisconsin-Stout

Sarah Thomas of Pequot Lakes received the Chancellor’s Award for the fall semester at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie.

Thomas is majoring in retail merchandising and management. The award is presented to students who have a grade-point average of 3.5 or above.

College of St. Benedict

Two local students were named to the fall semester dean’s list at the College of St. Benedict. Kirstie Harmdierks, the daughter of Kay Johnson of Breezy Point, is a junior psychology major; Colleen Kennedy, the daughter of David and Christine Kennedy of Pequot Lakes, is a junior English major.

Northwestern College

The following area students were named to the fall semester dean’s list at Northwestern College in St. Paul:

Anna Kloster, the daughter of Deneen Kloster of Breezy Point, awarded with highest honors. Kloster is pursuing a degree in biology.

Katie Morford of Pequot Lakes, awarded with highest honors. Morford is pursuing a degree in journalism.

Jamie Sewall, the daughter of David and Sandra Sewall of Pequot Lakes, awarded with honors. Sewall is pursuing a degree in design.

Anna Wiegand, the daughter of Thomas and Amy Wiegand of Nisswa, awarded with honors. Wiegand is pursuing a degree in public relations.

Highest honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.90-4.0, high honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.75-3.89 and honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.65-3.74.
