Student news University of St. Thomas, St. Paul

The following area students were named to the University of St. Thomas fall semester dean’s list: Aaron Rich, East Gull Lake; Elizabeth Bonau, Merrifield; Matthew Herrig, Taylor Jourdan and Elizabeth Pedersen, all of Nisswa; and Michael McSherry and Rachel Mott, both of Pequot Lakes.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Carleen Ann Johnson of Nisswa was named to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln fall semester dean’s list/honor roll. Johnson is a senior biochemistry/agricultural economics major in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

Bethel University,

St. Paul

Erika Schwalbe of Breezy Point and Nicole Sorenson of Crosslake were named to the Bethel University fall semester dean’s list. Schwalbe, a sophomore, is the daughter of Jeff and Ellen Schwalbe. Sorenson, a sophomore, is the daughter of Dave Sorenson from Crosslake.

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire

Amber Tappe of Crosslake graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor’s of Music Therapy degree on Dec. 22.

U of M-Twin Cities

The following area students were named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities: Natasha Gallett, Breezy Point, a junior at the College of Biological Sciences; Miranda K. Hanson, Nisswa, a freshman at the College of Liberal Arts; and Shalissa L. Pulak, Nisswa, a sophomore at the College of Liberal Arts.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
