Gardening series offered in area, including Pequot Lakes

University of Minnesota Extension Crow Wing County Master Gardeners will teach a community education gardening series in Pequot Lakes, Brainerd and Crosby.

• “Botany for Gardeners” will be facilitated by Jackie Froemming, Extension educator, Feb. 25 in Pequot Lakes, Feb. 26 in Crosby and Feb. 28 in Brainerd. 

• “Beginner Gardening — How to Get Started” will be facilitated by Jackie Burkey, certified Master Gardener, on March 4 in Pequot Lakes, March 5 in Crosby and March 7 in Brainerd. 

• “Growing Great Vegetables” will be facilitated by JoAnn Weaver, certified Master Gardener, March 19 in Crosby, March 21 in Brainerd and March 25 in Pequot Lakes.  

Cost of each class is $10 per person. All classes are from 6:30-8 p.m. 

Register by calling the Community Education office in the desired location: Pequot Lakes office, 218-568-9200; Crosby office, 218-545-8822; and Brainerd office, 218-454-6924.
