Empty Bowls fundraiser helps food shelf

Lakes Latte in Pequot Lakes helped Pequot Lakes Middle Level students sell handmade ceramic bowls to raise money for the food shelf this holiday season.

Fifth- through eighth-grade students hand-built the bowls, and each one was unique in form, texture and color.

People purchased the bowls at Lakes Latte in December for $5 each. A total of 70 bowls were sold, and $350 dollars will be donated to the Lakes Area Food Shelf in Pequot Lakes.
