Cross country ski lessons offered to grades 2-6

Cross country ski lessons for beginning and experienced cross country skiers in grades 2-6 will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays at the Eagle View Elementary School Nature Center.

Participants should meet in Room 171 at Eagle View. Lessons are sponsored in part by the Nordic Ski Club. Equipment will be provided or the child can bring his or her own.

Transportation for fifth- and sixth-grade students from the middle school to Eagle View will be provided via school bus.

Instructor Deanne Trottier will offer the following classes:

• Beginners on Mondays, Jan. 7, 14 and 28, Feb. 4, 11 and 25. Fee is $30.

• Intermediate on Wednesdays, Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30, Feb. 6 and 13. Fee is $30.

• Intermediate: Fridays, Jan. 11, 18 and 25, Feb. 1 and 8. This group will travel to ski at local groomed ski trails. Parents must provide transportation. The instructor will provide a schedule closer to the start date. Fee is $25 or $6 per time.
