The medallion hunt was one of numerous activities held at Pequot Tool in March for the Lakes Area Food Shelf. Prizes, contributed by many local merchants and major suppliers, created incentives and made the events fun for employees. Other events included a silent auction, a bake sale and concession sales.

Members of the Food Drive Committee, which hosted these events, are Cherie Wehausen, Angie Littman, Sybil Reis, Jessica Elgin, Erica Morrison, Jason Krutchen and Craig Tusler.

All proceeds from the four-week drive went to benefit the Lakes Area Food Shelf, which supports the communities of Jenkins, Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point, Ideal Township and Nisswa.

The goal was to raise more than the $3,188 raised during last year’s food drive. This year’s events raised $4,149 and the company contributed to reach a $5,000 contribution to the Lakes Area Food Shelf.

In addition, non-perishable food items were collected in March for the food shelf.

Pequot Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. employs more than 150 people and specializes in precision machining and fabricating, shipping product throughout the country and overseas.

Pequot Tool thanks area businesses and major suppliers for donating cash and prizes for the events.
