Hidde receives award from surveyors organization

Cindy Hidde of Stonemark Land Surveying, Inc., in Pequot Lakes was recognized by the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors on Feb. 21 at the annual conference in Bloomington.

Hidde received the William S. Kelley Jr. Community Service Award, which is given to a member who has contributed greatly to the community.

Community events and programs Hidde has been or is currently involved in include: Pequot Lakes-Breezy Point Stars & Strips committee, Pequot Lakes PTA Family Fun Run as founder and former co-chair, Pequot Lakes Bike Rodeo co-chair, Cub Scouts Pack 102 committee chair, Sunday school teacher at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, Brainerd Lakes Chamber ambassador, Out of Towners Toastmasters club president, Area 61 governor for Toastmasters, Chapter 2 MSPS president in 2010-12), North Country Networkers member, Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union Advisory Committee member and Bean Hole Days bean server.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
