Cass County representatives sought for board

The terms of Cy Struss representing Cass County and Patrick Rafferty representing Cass County EDO on the North Central Economic Development Association (NCEDA) will be expire in March. NCEDA is accepting nominations for these vacant seats until March 1. The 15-member NCEDA full corporation only meets twice a year at the Region Five Development Commission offices in Staples and elects individuals to serve on the Loan Board. It is the Loan Board, not the full corp, that meets monthly to review loan applications. For a nomination form, contact Joe Schulte, loan developer, at

218-894-6017 or . NCEDA is the nonprofit corporation established to operate the Region Five Revolving Loan Fund for business development in Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties. Each county has three representatives on the NCEDA.   Members are eligible to serve three three-year terms and the appointment may not exceed nine years in total. All nominees must meet the membership requirements and be confirmed by the Region Five Commission to serve on the NCEDA.

A municipality, economic development organization or county must nominate new members.
