Pequot Promoters change meeting date to first Thursday of month

The Pequot Promoters will meet at 8 a.m. the first Thursday of the month at the Cole Memorial Building in Pequot Lakes. The next meeting will be Dec. 5.

At the group’s November meeting, Jenna Crawford of the Pequot Lakes Chamber shared that the next networking opportunity and chamber event is the Business Expo on Dec. 5 at Madden’s. Crawford also reminded those present that $5 raffle tickets are still being sold for the Larson boat that is a fundraiser for the Governor’s Fishing Opener being held at Grand View Lodge in May.

Kimberly Ziesemer of Pequot Lakes Community Action reminded those present that Santa’s Bobbin’ Into Town will be held Saturday, Dec. 14. Floats or walking groups are still needed for the parade. See Barb Merritt if interested in participating in the parade. It is free to participate.

The Miss Pequot Lakes Pageant will be Friday, April 11. Volunteers are needed.

In other announcements:

• Jane Pantzke of Heritage House announced the completion and opening of the newest building called Shadow Suites.

• Cathy Funk of Bliss Spalon announced that her new Hot Yoga Studio will open Dec. 2, and Bliss Spalon was successfully named as an Aveda Salon.

• Merritt and Funk reviewed the Block Party event, which was over opening deer hunting. They both reported it was one of the best yet.
