Operation Round-Up donations distributed

The Crow Wing Power Community Trust Board donated $49,964 to local community programs during their fourth quarter meeting held in October. Operation Round-Up funds were distributed to the following projects: $2,250 to Faith in Action for Cass County, Hackensack; $3,000 to Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen, Brainerd; $3,000 to Crisis Line and Referral Service, Brainerd; $2,500 to Remer Area Ambulance Service; $500 to Emily Loon Crafters Quilt Guild; $2,014 to Pine River Fire Dept; $600 to Crow Wing Coalition to End Poverty, Operation Community Connect; $600 to Hillman Seniors; $9,000 to Emergency Heat Share; $3,000 to Mounted Eagles, Nisswa; $1,500 to HOWA Family Center, Northern Cass Kinship Partners; $3,000 to Fishing Has No Boundaries, Brainerd Lakes Chapter; $3,000 to Tender Hearts 4 Kids, Brainerd; $7,500 to Emily Emergency Food Shelf; $3,000 to Longville Area Food Shelf, Tossed and Found Boutique; $2,500 to Institute for Executive Director Leadership for Non-Profits and $3,000 to Private Cooperative Members Crisis Medical Support.

Operation Round-Up is funded by Crow Wing Power members who allow their electric bills to be rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. The change is pooled and distributed quarterly.
