Schaefer's Foods seeks scenic photos for 2014 calendar

Schaefer’s Foods is collaborating with Lakes Printing, DE Media and the Nisswa Chamber of Commerce to produce the third annual Nisswa area calendar. Schaefer’s Foods is seeking photos that portray the beauty and unique character of the Nisswa area for the 2014 calendar. Fall, spring and winter pictures are especially needed.

The original photographer must submit entries. Photos that have been published elsewhere are not eligible.

Photos taken on digital devices (i.e. cell phones) are not eligible for the contest. Photos must be 3,000 by 2,400 pixels (300 dpi), JPG files. Entries must include the photographer’s name, mailing address, email address, phone number, age division (adult or youth ages 17 and under) and a brief description of the photo, including where it was taken. There is a limit of 10 entries per person.

Contestants may email digital photos up to 5MB to photocontest@tds.net; submit photos digitally on a clearly labeled CD or DVD marked “photo contest” or submit prints that are at least 8 by 10 inches along with entry information to Schaefer’s Foods. Photos, CDs or DVDs will not be returned.

Photos will be judged in the adult (18 and older) and youth (17 and younger) categories based on creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness in conveying the beauty and/or unique character of the Nisswa area.

Deadline for photo submissions is Friday, Oct. 11. Winners will be notified by Nov. 15.

The calendar will be distributed at Schaefer’s Foods and the Nisswa Chamber of Commerce.
