Good Samaritan Society-Pine River awards staff scholarships

Good Samaritan Society-Pine River recently awarded two staff with $1,500 scholarships to continue their education in nursing.

Kenneth Northerscold began his career at Good Samaritan Society as a nursing assistant a little over one year ago. In that time, Northerscold studied to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and is currently working toward becoming a Registered Nurse.

Cara Holtz-Spilman has been employed as a nursing assistant at Good Samaritan Society for nearly four years and is currently studying to be an LPN.

“It is inspiring to see people like Kenneth and Cara, who enjoy their work and want to continue to learn in grow in what they have been called to do as a nurse” says Karen Prososki, administrator at Good Samaritan Society-Pine River.
