Triolo’s Italian & Mexican Restaurant and Club Kimberly were the building’s most recent occupants, but the contract for deed changed hands the week of Sept. 9 when the Hansons, of Pequot Lakes, decided to pursue the dream of owning their own bar.

Immediately the Hansons began remodeling the bar section of the building. The remodel includes a new paint job and a new, bigger bar area. Customers will also have the chance to enjoy a change in menu.

“We’re going to go with the basic hamburgers, specials, fish, meat loaf, and things like that. Prime rib specials. Wing night,” Todd senior said.

“We just felt that’s what we needed in the area,” Todd junior said.

The Hansons have not yet decided on a name, though the business is anticipated to be up and running in a month. The business will feature live bands and 15 televisions for sports fans. For the time being, the restaurant section of the business will be closed, though there are still plenty of seats away from the bar.

“We’ll have that open probably in the summertime and have wedding parties and things like that,” Todd junior said.
