Local farmer featured at State Fair

Dave Massey of Northwoods Organic Produce in White Bear Lake and Pequot Lakes participated in the 11th annual Minnesota Farmers Union Minnesota Cooks program at the State Fair.

This program pairs farmers with chefs who use the farmers’ farm-fresh food in their restaurants to promote local, fresh ingredients, and celebrate the farming and Minnesota-grown foods in Minnesota.

Ingredients from Northwoods Organic Produce were used to make Paella Vendura by Pastry Chef Lisa Scribner of Trotter’s Café in St. Paul.
