Brainerd Lakes Chamber announces incoming board of directors

The Brainerd Lakes Chamber announces its incoming board of directors leadership team, effective Sept. 1.

Leading the chamber’s board on behalf of the more than 900 members will be Mike Dillon, Lexington Manufacturing Inc., chair; Jim Haakonson, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, vice chair; Deb Mitzel, Dondelinger Chevrolet-Cadillac-Hyundai, treasurer; and Kim Ellingson, Bremer Bank, past chair.

Board members joining this leadership team and who began a four-year term Sept. 1 are: Terry McFarlin, Anderson Brothers Construction Co.; Chris Quisberg, Cub Foods; Cynthia Roggenkamp, Ameriprise Financial-Pequot Lakes; and Bart Taylor, RiverWood Bank.

Retiring from the board of directors as of Aug. 31 are: Mark Jurchen, Lakeland Agency; Steve Mau, Brainerd General Rental; Jeremy Pollock, Anytime Fitness; and Tim Ramerth, Widseth Smith Nolting.

The continuing directors are: Adam Rees, Essentia Health; Thomas Vasecka, Holiday Inn Express; and Scott Kuehl, Nor-Son Inc.

The chamber, as a regional organization representing the voice of business, is led by a volunteer board of directors, representing various types of businesses and communities in the Brainerd lakes area, denoting the diversity of chamber membership. Monthly meetings are conducted to establish the policies and direction for the chamber organization.

Retiring board and committee chairs and members will be recognized at the Oct. 7 chamber annual dinner and awards program at Breezy Point Resort.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
