Cuyuna Regional Medical Center plans to enhances tobacco free policy

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Crosby now maintains a 100 percent tobacco free environment and an updated policy will be in place.

The new tobacco-free policy applies to employees, patients, residents, visitors, vendors and anyone who enters CRMC-owned property or off-campus employee work sites. A transition period will occur and by no later than Dec. 31, the entire campus will be designated as both smoke and tobacco free.

Products covered by the policy include, but are not limited to cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, pipe smoking and non-tobacco products that create perception of tobacco use. New to the policy, all indoor and outdoor spaces owned or leased by CRMC will be tobacco free including parking lots and driveways used by CRMC, CRMC vehicles, vehicles on property owned, leased or used by CRMC (including personal vehicles), adjoining sidewalks/property to CRMC owned or leased property.
