Approvals for the redevelopment of the 27-acre resort property on Gull Lake, currently the site of Quarterdeck Resort, include a new, full-service lakefront lodge, a new lakefront restaurant and docking system.

The new, three-story, 68-suite lodge’s architecture will mirror the northwoods style and will include an indoor/outdoor four-season pool on the lower level, a guest reception lobby on the main level and a conference/banquet facility on the third level, all offering views of the lake.

The lower level will also include a fitness center and game room that will overlook the pool with an outdoor children’s playground.

GullView Lodge will present a unique ownership opportunity and a hassle-free approach to ownership. If desired, all owners at GullView Lodge will be able to occupy their suites approximately six months of the year while also participating in the professional management, rental and maintenance program that will be available to all suite owners.

Four distinct suite types will be offered, ranging in size from 355 square feet to 1,354 square feet. All suites will feature designer appointments and be fully furnished to include linens and housewares.

Pre-construction pricing begins at $149,900 including the use of all resort amenities, which include a boat slip, indoor/outdoor pool, a fitness center, game room, children’s playground and boat ramp.

The new lodge plans also feature a new lakeside restaurant that will offer indoor and outdoor dining with views of Gull Lake. A new dock system will allow restaurant patrons, as well as lodge owners and guests. to come by boat. A limited number of boatlifts with canopies will be available.

SunStream Hotels and Resorts, headquartered in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., will oversee the development and management of GullView Lodge.

“It is anticipated that the new lodge will provide 18 employment opportunities to include a full-time concierge to assist lodge owners and guests with on-site services or to arrange for that perfect golf game, favorite dining spot, or suggestions for area attractions,” said David Lawrence, SunStream president.

Until the commencement of construction of the new lodge facility, the current resort lodge and cabins will continue rental operations and boat rentals throughout 2013. In addition to lodge and cabin rentals, the current patio restaurant will be open for lakeside drinks and dining this summer.
