BBB warns of computer virus

Email

A tricky new computer virus causes infected users to see pop-up messages that claim to be from the FBI and threaten people with a fine or prison unless they pay up, the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota (BBB) reported.

The virus, meanwhile, locks up your computer, holding it — and you — hostage, thus its name: “ransomware.”
