Holden receives chiropractic degree
Dr. Jeffrey Roy Holden, co-salutatorian, received his chiropractic degree during the Oct. 19 commencement exercises at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport Campus, in Davenport, Iowa. Palmer College is the founding college of the chiropractic profession. To qualify for the doctor of chiropractic, Dr. Holden completed five academic years of professional study at Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Palmer was established as the first chiropractic college by Daniel David Palmer in 1897. Palmer College of Chiropractic received accreditation from the Council on Chiropractic Education in 1979 and from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools in 1984.
Dr. Holden is the son of Terry and Michelle Holden and grandson of Merle and Naree Weaver, all of rural Backus. Dr. Jeffrey Holden is a 2005 graduate of Pine River-Backus High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Dr. Holden currently resides in Portland, Oregon and is entering a post-doctoral three-year residency in Radiology at the University of Western States.
