Latte Da opens in Pequot Lakes

Specialty coffee drinks, pastries and retail food items are now available at Latté Da, a new coffee shop connected to Wild Daisy on Old Highway 371 in Pequot Lakes.

Owner Sarah Blaeser opened the store at the beginning of August with help from her fiancé, Bill Makowsky.

The store opens at 6 a.m. and carries pastries by Sweet Petite Treats, made by Laurie Vadnais of Timberjack Smokehouse. Sweet Petite Treats makes scones, cupcakes, cheesecake and creampuffs. Danish pastries and croissants from other bakeries are also available.

Gourmet retail foods available include Robert Rothchild jellies and dips and Rabbit Creek muffin and scone mixes.

Blaeser is former owner of the Golden Turtle and Unraveled, a yarn store. Blaeser said she knew she wanted to own another business, and is excited about the new coffee shop.
