Woman dead after three-vehicle accident

BUFFALO, Minn. -- A three-vehicle crash in central Minnesota killed an Aitkin woman Wednesday evening.

Karen Tibbetts, 65, was killed after losing control of her vehicle and sliding into oncoming traffic on Minnesota Highway 55 near Buffalo, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Brett Riske, 28, of Maple Grove, and Jon Tank, 43, of Buffalo, were the drivers of the other vehicles involved in the accident. 

Riske was uninjured and Tank’s condition was listed as unknown.

Conditions were described as wet at the time of the accident.

Buffalo is about 30 miles west of Minneapolis in Wright County.
