Suspect in custody after deputy wounded in Norman County

PERLEY, Minn. A suspect has been apprehended in a shooting that wounded a Norman County deputy early Tuesday morning near Perley in northwest Minnesota.

Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist said an arrest took place about 10:40 a.m. not far from where the shooting occurred.

He said the incident began about 8:30 a.m., when a Norman County Deputy made a traffic stop on County Road 39 east of Perley.
