Pine River firefighters retire

Pine River firefighters Darrell Wolkenhauer, left, and Al Bauman were recently honored for their years of service after both retired. Members of the Pine River Fire Department and their wives gathered Saturday night, March 29, to honor Bauman and his wife, Sherry, for their 29 years of service, and Wolkenhauer and his wife, Tracy, for their 26 1/2 years of service to the fire department. Fire Chief Kevin Kleiner presented them each with a plaque and fire helmet in thanks for their years of service. Anyone interested in joining the fire department should stop by Pine River City Hall for an application.
