Crow Wing to offer final immunization clinic

Crow Wing County Public Health will offer a walk-in school immunization clinic from 7:30-10 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division, 204 Laurel St., Suite 12, Brainerd.

This clinic is for kindergarten through 12th-graders who need vaccinations to attend school, as well as immunizations that are recommended for their age. No appointment is needed.

Shots are $5 each; however, no one is denied access due to inability to pay. Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care is also accepted as payment so bring your cards.

If your health insurance pays for vaccinations, you must be seen by your home medical clinic.

A parent or legal guardian and a complete shot record are required to accompany the student or shots may not be given. If your child has a special medical problem and cannot be vaccinated or if you as a parent are conscientiously opposed to immunizations, you may receive a legal exemption.

This will be the last clinic offered by Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division as immunizations will no longer be available after this clinic.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
