Crosslake Lutheran to host session on loss, grief April 25

Crosslake Lutheran Church will offer “Journey Through Loss — Finding Hope and Healing” from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, April 25, at the church.

This session covers loss and grief, stages of recovery, helping those experiencing loss and finding joy after loss.

Presenters are Beth Larson, licensed social worker; and Gail Smith, critical care registered nurse.

Larson has more than 25 years of experience as a social worker with experience in long-term care and Hospice, and she currently works with those with a disability.

Smith has 40 years of experience working in critical care as a registered nurse, manager and educator. She currently serves as parish nurse for Crosslake Lutheran and leads the BeFriender team. She also works at Minneapolis Heart Institute as a nurse clinician.
