The original publishers and artists of the Lake Country Journal magazine will produce 15,000 complimentary copies of the publication.

“Celebrate!” will highlight the origination, history, maps, articles and opportunities of Minnesota’s longest trail. The publication will be made available through advertising businesses, the chambers of commerce and visitor sites from Bemidji to Brainerd.

The publication will be completed June 9, and available July 1. On July 27, the completed trail will be officially dedicated.

Organizers are welcoming area citizen photography and short quips of experiences on the trail. Advertising opportunities will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis within a limited amount of space. A “turn-page” clickable version of the publication will be on the new website, also.

Watch for the photo (from previous years) contest coming up soon.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
