Council schedules road improvement public hearing
The Emily City Council scheduled a public hearing to discuss road improvements at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, the council’s regular monthly meeting date.
That action took place March 11, according to draft meeting minutes.
Minutes also say the council approved the resignation of Troy Satchell from the fire department, and noted that the local first response unit is seeking additional members. A meeting was scheduled April 14 to discuss possible benefits for the first response unit.
The council approved purchase of a rifle and door card access panel for the police department. Interim Police Chief Josh Herold was approved to work a maximum of 31 hours per week at $22 per hour.
The council announced that all interested city employees and staff members are approved to attend CPR training at the fire department April 15.
The council learned that there has been an inventory of old school lockers. Lockers in excess of 10 will be sold to the public at a cost of $10 each.
In April, the city will look at possible relief for overage charges on sewer bills because of freezeups and continuous running water to prevent freezeups.
