Pequot Lakes man arrested in connection with burglary

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl reports the arrest of a 22-year-old Pequot Lakes man in connection with a Morrison County burglary.

On March 19, Crow Wing County investigators assisted the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office when they executed a search warrant at a residence located on the 7000 block of Buschmann Road, Pequot Lakes, in connection with a Morrison County burglary that had occurred in February.

As a result of the search warrant, several firearms that were taken in the burglary were recovered at the house. Crow Wing County investigators arrested David Allen Swenson for burglary and possession of stolen firearms. Swenson was turned over to Morrison County Investigators who booked him into the Morrison County Jail.

Also in connection with this case, Isaiah Clifford Carner, 22, Pillager, was arrested by Cass County authorities. He also was brought to the Morrison County jail.

“Thieves have no geographical boundaries," Dahl said. "It’s through cooperation with other law enforcement agencies that we are able to put things such as this together and recover property and make arrests.”

Other agencies involved in this case are: Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Breezy Point Police Department.
