Schramms, Bragstads to speak Thursday at Pine River event

Happy Dancing Turtle and Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Fellowhip will present the first of a series of five free meetings on food issues Thursday, March 6, at the Hunt Utilities Group (HUG) campus in Pine River, starting at 5:30 p.m. for an optional potluck and at 6 p.m. for the program.

This week’s program features the film “The Greenhorns” and follows with an open discussion with Abbie and Luke Schramm, B&B Farm Co., and Robyn and Lance Bragstad, Bragstad Green Acres, about the challenges and opportunities in the current young farmers’ worlds.

The HUG Campus is at 2331 Dancing Wind Road S.W., in Pine River, just off Highway 371 on Highway 2 on the west side.
