Byway Bylines: Paul's Pots and Pans Bearded Bunyan Band

You and yours are invited to dress the part and beat the pots and pans at the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Crosslake on Saturday, March 15.

The Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Crosslake will partner again this year to bring out their green-clad mascots in Paul’s Pots and Pans Bearded Bunyan Band.

The theme this year is Paul Camps with the Corps, illustrating how the two groups share in welcoming people to this natural recreational area.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Bobber the Water Safety Dog will be in the parade as well as Paul and Babe, this year with bearded lumberjacks, water babies and a few other Camp characters.

The group is looking for more lumberjacks, camp cooks and pots-n-pans marching band volunteers – beards are optional.

For more information or to participate, email or call Mary Plein at 218-543-6479.
